Dispatch & Safety Coordinator

Kaplan Trucking, one of the Bessemer Management trucking companies and one of the most experienced steel hauling trucking companies in the United States, has an opportunity for a highly motivated, career-minded individual to join our growing flatbed trucking division in Eighty Four, PA as a Dispatch & Safety Coordinator.

This position is full-time/on-site in our Eighty Four, PA terminal/office.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Providing support to our truck drivers and customers
• Tracking equipment inventory
• Inside sales/relationship management
• Helping to identify opportunities for organic business growth
• Safety/compliance-related tasks such as collecting, organizing, and tracking DOT-required safety paperwork

Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:

• Career-minded individual with 2-3 years of business experience
• Trucking, transportation, and/or DOT experience strongly preferred but not required
• Ability to effectively multi-task
• Ability to work under pressure
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

Work Schedule & Benefits:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (on-site in Eighty Four, PA)

Physical Demands of the Position:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
